Optimized Horde Orks 2000

Well if you're going to run orks competitively there's only 2 viable builds left.  Horde and mech lol.  Most people don't even consider horde for tournaments due to how many models there are to buy/paint and time to play.  But, I've run into horde orks more than enough to know how utterly devestating they can be if you can't deal with them.

The kanz and power klaws deal with land raiders, monoliths, wraithlords, and paladins.  The 290 S4-7 shots a turn comnig at you deal with everything else.  I understand that 5 lootas and 15 kill a rhino the same (which they really don't), but 15 gives you poptions when there are better targets than rhinos.  15 lootas can really hamper 10 marines, or even termies without fnp.  Basically, the minute your opponent takes something that isn't pure MSU the 15 lootas really start to shine. 

I ask you, can your standard list kill this?

    It is certainly going to be a problem to kill enough of them. :o)

  2. I fight this list a lot, except the 2 HQ are force field mechs, and only 3 units of shootas. The cans are even more scary when they are coming at you with a 4+ cover save in the open.

    Usually I come out 50/50 on objectives, as I can make selective sacrifices to hold him back, but even when I win, I barely survive getting wiped out.
